Summer NYU Housing Broome, Thrid, Lafayette

I will be in the city this summer working an IB SA. Just wondering what the living conditions for these dorms are. Would love to hear just general NYU dorm experiences. Would you recommend hopping on the nyu meal plan for Sundays/Saturdays? I don't know too many people in the city yet so have people become really close friends with people they dorm with?

Lafayette is absolutely 💩, but does the job if you are never home. Meal plan is absoslute waste. You don’t wanna spend your one day of freedom eating hotel food. Trust.

Thanks that was very helpful. ill be working at a firm nearby so I think I'ma go with broome.

  1. How did you meet and get along with your roommates? Any tips for setting expectations early? Would you hang out more with your friends from dorms or ppl from ur internship?
  2.  Does noise ever become an issue with the slits on the top of the room, sleepwise or like having a girl over lol? Also how far is it from most clubs,
  3. How's the summer heat with the AC?

    Thx :)
