SWE vs Hedge fund
I’m a sophomore at a target probably pursuing banking/PE recruiting for 2023 summer. Recently got offers at two places. The first is SWE at a big tech firm (Uber/Microsoft/Salesforce/Apple) etc… for Their actual junior Swe program not the sophomore programs. The other is a hedge fund with a few billion in AUM. 10/12 past interns at the fund have placed at Goldman, MS, BX, or equivalent. I want to pursue the SWE for optionality outside of Finance but I was wondering how banks would see that internship compared to a top hedge fund internship?
