Taking a semester off to re-recruit?
Rising non-target junior here. Would it be worth it to take this next semester off to re-recruit for summer analyst positions? Didn't network enough and my prospects aren't looking too good. How would this look to banks? I have a solid PE/HF/VC internship this summer and am confident I could get one next summer technically as a sophomore again. Any thoughts???

Hope that helps.

Why didn’t you just tell us what industry it is? Is it PE, HF, or VC.
Paranoid about anonymity lol. It's HF if that helps but didn't think it mattered too much
bruh there are tons of HFs no one's gonna figure out who you are lmao
What is your experience like at the HF? Are you modeling and doing things that actually add value or are you doing bullshit admin stuff.
Nah I'm actually modeling and i've been able to sit in on a ton of meetings and have learned a lot which has been great.
Thats great, what are the connections of the senior level employees at the fund. Would they be able to pull for you/have connections at banks if this is what you are looking for.
I'm sure the senior people are well connected here. It's a very large firm w/ 25b+ AUM, but I haven't done a great job of networking due to the virtual aspect of it. I've only work with one analyst so far and the internship is wrapping up.
Given that it is 25B+ any chance you can just return? Fund that size could absorb a new hire if they are doing well.
Sadly they don't take undergrads :( Usually 5+ years of experience
Only connection you have made was the one analyst?
Yeah pretty much, kind of poor on my part, but it is what it is. What are your thoughts about taking a semester off to re-recruit?
