Target schools are boring

To those who went to HPY or other high targets, does it piss you off when you’re sitting at the desk next to a kid who went to UF, OSU, Georgia, etc.? They got to party for 4 years with hot girls and ended up at the same place.

Honestly, that's not what pisses me off.

What pisses me off is watching HYPSM kids grind 80-hour weeks for a Bulge Brackets logo on their LinkedIn, while the UF/OSU/Georgia guys at least got to have fun getting there.

You had the rocket ship and used it to commute. That's the real L.

That’s exactly what I said? Did Stanford teach you to read.

I feel like you're arguing fundamentally different things? He's saying HYPS kids should be doing something better than IB, you're saying "I was able to get into IB just like you."

The implication of your post is that you made it to the top like the HYPS kids, his implication is that the HYPS kids in IB are at the bottom in the first place.

Pfftttt just wait 5-10 years to see how different life outcomes will be based on connections, etc. Bank/group/firm out of college is just step one. Good luck during PE recruiting, business school, raising your own fund, etc lol

You sounds like a pretentious fucking prick. Take the stick out of your ass and accept that these kids are just as good, if not better, than you if they got to the same desk.

And I know plenty of these guys who went to top bschools, PE, HF. Half you assholes are just nepos anyways. At least we fucking earn it

Controversial

The fact I elicited this strong of a visceral reaction out of you just proves you know I'm right ;)

Am I the only one who thinks nontarget kids are the problem? Some are chill af but there are so many more with this mentality. “As good at, if not better” means that you should have done as well in high school, the SAT/ACT, extracurriculars, etc., no?

Bros pat themselves on the back for crawling out of a hole that they put themselves in lol. So many chips on so many shoulders.

Just take the W and move on. I can assure you I haven’t spent more than a second thinking about nontarget schools.

you're an incoming '30 at a nontarget acting like this can't wait for your dreams to get crushed

Let’s use a woman in this example.

Lets say she goes to an SEC school but marries a top tier privately educated guy. Welp, esp if she is hot, multiple LSU / Ole Miss / or UGA frat tards banged her in her prime while private school guy gets to fuck only after proving he can provide.

Eventually, if hes good, private school guy will win out in career and when it comes to that other commodity. But early on, it is what it is. You can always marry some 5 thats well educated tho.

idea here is it appears not right that some folks who didn't work as hard and had fun still achieved a top shelf commodity like those who strived their whole life - but over time the guy who strived will statistically win out.

I was drinking Mac 18 heavily when I wrote this, and upon sober review I still like my post.

Non targets are just insecure

Once in a blue moon a target kid will descend and post something related to this

But every week some non target is bashing target kids

The sad things is we don’t think about you at all
