TD FIG
I recently saw TD is looking for FIG analysts and associates and checked the WSO post. It looks like TD has been expanding its FIG platform with hires from CS. Can someone talk about its strength or growth potential? I’m a second year analyst looking to lateral.
They are busy but haven't seen too many M&A deals done. The deals that have been announced by the group are usually from a co-advisor role. Capital markets heavy group. Still a good gig regardless.
They have associate opening online that I applied to. From the first round, the staffer told me that their group is mostly M&A advisory because their product groups (namely leverage finance and DCM) work on those so-called co advisors deals. He said they have worked on several high-profile transactions since the legacy CS group onboarded last year (dunno know if any are lead advisors) and the bonus for associates and above is very attractive (over 100%).
I searched online and it seems TD has traditionally paid well compared to other BBs so would love to hear more about the people and culture aspects.
Thank you everyone.
Avoid TD unless you are a DEI candidate. Incompetent leadership led to $2.6 billions fine recently
