Tech to IB

Hey monkeys!

I am currently an intern in the business development department of a big tech company.

I was wondering if and how such an experience could help me breaking into IB.

Is it in any way transferable or of interest to banks? How would you sell it in your CV/interview?

Many thanks everyone!!

Make sure it is BD/Partnerships and not sales. BD/Partnerships has many parallels with senior level banker responsibilities with respect to winning mandates. --- My boss was an MD in JPM SF --> Executive VP at my F500 tech company in Business Development.

Still, without Corp Dev xp you might aswell just get an MBA. Because senior level responsibilities barely overlap with junior analyst work.
