Technology Analyst/Software Developer or back office role?
I'm a recent grad currently in the process of getting certified to be a Financial Advisor. My plan is to get an MBA down the line and hopefully break into IB. A friend referred me to his company for this Technology Analyst role and I became interested in doing a coding bootcamp to become a Software Engineer/Technology Analyst. Since Financial Advising is Sales and the skills aren't transferable to IB, do I do Software Engineering or keep networking and applying for other finance roles?
Also, I'm a liberal arts major and I do know that Technology is back office.
