The Race for Lord Stanley's Cup - Who you got?

Now that the NHL season has officially kicked off, what are my fellow puckhead's predictions on who takes home the Cup? (and the insanely huge ring that comes with it - http://kings.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=733363)

As someone who's been bleeding Devils red since '95 (we'll miss you Marty!), of course I'm hopeful that a return to glory is within our grasp with Corey assuming the throne, but realistically I'd give the nod to Chicago followed by LA, Boston, and Patty Roy's Avalanche.

Who will lift the best trophy in sports in 2015?

I'm shooting for the Red Wings because of course I am. Born and bred a Wing nut!

Outside of that, Tampa is going to be a great contender that I wouldn't mind winning the cup because Stevie Y!

I could never root for a Canadian team. Why you ask?

I would love for the Rangers to make it into the playoffs this year again because it's always nice being able to go to a bar and hockey be on instead of stupid basketball. In my mind though they will not make it very far, maybe second round if they are lucky. I also want Chicago to do well because I have like 4 players from them on my fantasy team. They can lose the cup though because then I can rub it in my fiance's mom's face :)

Rematch of Chicago vs LA in the WCF would be pretty awesome to see, that series was ridiculous (frustrating for a Chi fan too..)

This to all my hatin' folks seeing me getting guac right now..

I would love to see a Chicago vs. Detroit SCF. That is an awesome rivalry that got taken away due to Detroit moving to the East.

I'm fine with the Rangers making the playoffs, but last year was way too close for comfort for me. In spite of our 3 cups it wasn't until Henrique buried them in Game 6 of the 2012 ECF that we finally had a comeback to quiet "Matteau Matteau Matteau!"

Chicago vs. Detroit would make for an amazing series.
