Thoughts on Left Lane Associates?

I want to work there they look like they have a solid team of investment bankers. Their website shows they have a ton of sell-side and buy-side deals. I’m a new grad and I’m trying to break in so anything helps. I also heard someone got a job at jefferies from Canada so it shows their exits are good.

Thoughts on them?

Bucket shop filled with socially awkward Geeks and toxic seniors who think they’re smart investment bankers meanwhile none of them have any technical knowledge. It’s not M&A it’s a business brokerage for trucking companies. If you’re thinking of working there the culture for juniors is great but the seniors are toxic as hell - hire and fire culture. Avoid this place.

Also, OP the guy you’re talking about never made Jefferies he lied. False experience according to the firm.

Again, they hire Brock University BBA graduates as "Investment Bankers." Make of that what you will.

Cannot overstate this enough: these guys are absolute fucking clowns. Look up the location of their office. Seriously, look it up. In the middle of 1950s post war housing in south Etobicoke. There's nothing wrong with Etobicoke, it's great. But to have the stones to market yourself as an "Investment Banker" when the place is a business brokerage (as someone else said above) is asinine. I (with the help of my assistant, Lloyd Lee) was proud to report one of the venerable alumnus of Left Lane had falsely claimed to be one of the first hires at Jefferies new Toronto office. I wish I had a screenshot of the guys LinkedIn at the time. Maybe the only redeeming quality of LLA was they used to have an absolute SVETA of a receptionist, but even she could see these guys are not serious people.

Edit: OP, this has to be a bullshit post, no? Must be a quiet day on browns line for you to post this. Have some self-respect, my god.
