Toronto Big Law vs IB
Saw a few posts about the article that said lawyer pay has surpassed banking pay. It was mostly NYC centric. I was wondering what the situation is like in Toronto with our abysmal comp.

Career Resources
Toronto is a socialist country so don't fret, finance is still on top for corporate job salaries. Someone should update me, but 2-3 years ago, 1st year law salary was like $100-140k all-in if I recall correctly.
lol to whichever salty law student gave me monkey crap, see for yourself below

Unless you make partner you are far better off in banking then law when you account for the 3 years and ~100k in tuition for law school. Being partner allows you to incorporate and has huge tax incentives which changes the comp comparison completely. Yes you can own your own boutique in IB but the path to partnership is much less structured then it is in law.
