When I was looking for my first job (coming from a non-target) I was given advice that it is easier to transfer within a company to your desired position than to get to land an IB job as a outside applicant. I took this advice and land a fund accounting position. I am wondering if it is possible if I put work in on my off time to transfer into IB or was I fed a bunch of BS?
