Two job offers and two bad references...help!

Hi all. I received two job offers last week and due to start one of the jobs next week but I'm so worried about my reference checks and could really do with some support/advice. So in my last job of 6 years I had a spat with a colleague and he tried to raise misconduct claim but I resigned before that process even happened so I'm not worried about this being disclosed. In my next role, I ended up with a really horrible manager who liked to shout at me a lot and eventually I complained. But as you know with HR they defended the complaint and so I resigned with immediate effect as I'd only been there 6 months, which they accepted. But I left a bad review on glassdoor and the employee relations advisor emailed me to say he got it removed and that I more or less deserved the outcome of my complaint because my performance was so bad. So I didn't have a great end to both of my jobs. I'm really worried that these employers or HR will now refuse to provide a reference because they have personal reasons for not liking me. Other than that I have a clear record and was promoted in my first role, so there shouldn't be any negative backlash for that. Anyway, I have a second job offer which I am trying to stall in case my present job offer doesnt work out. But can anyone shed any light on the reference process or give any advice. It would really help to reduce the anxiety I'm under.
