Undergrad Finance PCs 2017

I'll be entering freshman year of college in the fall with direct admit to the business program. For the upcoming school year, the program recently announced on their website that PCs operating with Windows will be the only acceptable computers for business students.
This is fine for me, obviously the school knows best and I will comply. I'm looking for some good recs from WSO for current models, and I know there are other threads regarding this but most of them are at least 3-4 years old so not quite as helpful.
I've only used Windows on school desktops, right now I do work on a 2010 MacBook Pro which works fine and I'd like to keep using for personal/recreational purposes, but am skeptical about how well it would handle boot camp. My friends that have tried boot camp on their Macs have all said that they should have gotten PCs in the first place.
What are some models to keep an eye out for? I'm looking for ~$800, ideally less. I'm only going to use it for Microsoft Office, research, and other academic purposes. Probably for a few years post-grad either for B-School or work. The Lenovo ThinkPad 13 looks solid with a lot of configuration options and an extremely convenient pricepoint, but I'd much prefer to hear from any current students, recent grads, or anyone else that has something to offer.

The Dell XPS 13 is pretty nice for school - light and easy to carry around, pretty solid battery life, enough power to do anything you'd need to do, etc. You should be able to pick one up for around ~$800
