As title, have a few final rounds at EBs and want to make sure I've my bases covered. What are some of the toughest technical questions people have gotten asked, etc.

I previously got asked how to treat NOLs, equity investments, cap leases, unfunded pension obligatoins, NCI in EV to equity bridge lol
how do we treat NOLs and cap leases?
just searched up think NOLs as cash and cap lease as debt but correct me i might be wrong

One of my interviewers asked me whether DTLs are created in an asset or 338 transaction.... luckily had actually came across it before but think it's absurd
Ok how is this productive in any sense for interviewers to be asking this, no way they're asking this to everyone? also where did you come across it?
Got asked at Moelis and think i saw on platform called over levered - lol yea don't know how asking such questions are productive at all
i don't see this in the M&I 400s so how are we even supposed to know about this?

Wouldn’t they be created in both? Asset Sale has step up basis and so does 338 through stock being treated as step up basis.
I just bought access to the thing above and it says no for both as no temporary dif in tax basis
Might be in this spot soon with an EB - assuming they are going to throw some crazy technicals at me. What % of them do I need to get right to have a shot?
My little bro is a freshman and I want to help him get set up early. To those of you that have used margin of alpha, is that really the way? Is there another provider for the toughest technicals?

I used University of Michigan technical prep + 400 BIWS. One thing I’ve been noticing is interviewers going “off script” if they believe you’ve just memorized guides.
