I would ask EBITDA too but EV is what you are solving for, so you cannot ask it :)

i'd ask net debt, EBITDA and sector.
EBITDA combined with the sector will give me a range of multiples (assuming I have a surface understanding of each sector) which will determine EV. Just for completeness net debt would also allow me to calculate EqV.
