Weird Superday

A friend of mine was telling me that he got a superday for the current FT recruiting class and that it is on Zoom (first and second rounds were also on Zoom), and that it's three interviews, one ED and two MDs. Is this typical in terms of only being on Zoom and having only very senior people interviewing him?

yes - completely normal nowadays. Firms are realizing theres no point in flying people out when they can do zooms. And yes, directors and above is the norm

He's in the city they're interviewing him for but didn't even ask, I guess they might just be moving really fast. Also, more senior people tend not to ask technical questions or at least not as many and I've heard that a typical super day is made up of analysts and associates asking technical and some fit questions, while more senior people are focused on fit/behavioral and walking through a deal.

yes normal nowadays not to ask and just go to zoom its better for both parties

I've always been interviewed by analyst/associate for earlier rounds but superdays has always been senior employees.

Maybe Im reading this completely wrong but sounds like you might be a bit jealous of your friend?
