Wells Fargo Energy team is actually doing really well right now; they're ranked pretty high up in the energy sector deals. Energy deals are also flowing right now, so it really depends on you and how your group is doing.
Any one know about the Energy Investment Banking team at Wells Fargo? Bump
limited experience here but their energy group seems to have a pretty solid rep. it's split between oil and gas in Houston and utilities in Charlotte i believe.

Sounds like a group in transition because they have an advertisement out soliciting a group head for that team. Not often does a bank have to go public to find a group head.
