Wells Fargo Healthcare Insight

Hello Monkeys,

Anyone whose in the HC team at Wells Fargo, I would love to gain more insight within the group, especially in the NYC group. How is the dealflow/culture/senior management/compensation like?

And as for deals, do you mostly work on Financing, M&A or Capital Raises (IPO/SPACs).

One of the weaker coverage teams at Wells. I think they made a recent senior hire (don’t know what group HASNT) from Barclays? Heard he’s a hardo lmao.

Any idea what bonuses are like if they are one of the weaker coverage teams?

It looks like they hired D. Campili from Barclays London this spring as vice chair but coincidentally lost J. Birchenough (chairman) to Barclays this summer…so I guess Campili got an auto promo or maybe it was always planned?

Any insight on him or any of the healthcare practice’s other MD/D/VP-level team?

@OP, did you learn anything more about this group?

That is partially true, but they were never highly ranked - even when SPACs were booming.

The HC group just doesn’t have strong relationships with the major players in the field. Pfizer doesn’t return Wells Fargo calls. So, what little business we do is in SPACs and capital raises. We don’t do much M&A, because again, the guys buying (big players), don’t want to talk to Wells.
