What are a person's odds of making it to a Superday?

I just wanted to know if someone could provide a rough estimate based on previous poster's experiences on this forum.

Let's say someone has 10 interviews, is it reasonable for him/her to expect to make it to 4 Superdays?

I'm getting worried that I have gone 0 for 2 in terms of making it to Superdays this year so far.

It all depends on the person. A great resume will get you the first interview. If you go in and are dull, nervous, robotic, fake, uninteresting, etc you won't get called for the Superday. Every person is different, so you really can't say what the average percentage for an invitation to a Superday would be. For example, while interviewing for FT, I was called back for the first 4 interviews I had. I got the offer I wanted, so I canceled the rest of my first rounds.

I wouldn't worry too much about going 0 for 2. At your next interview just be yourself and dont be afraid to take a chance.

What are the odds after the superday? What percentage of applicants do they normally call into the office for on site final rounds. Say they get 1000 apps in the mail, and have 6 SA spots (yes, only 6, smaller firm)... how many do you think they will bring into the office for a superday after the pre-screen and phone interview/on campus interviews.

No reason to worry. This industry is very competitive and you'll have to keep trying. I had 25 interviews last fall, got 5 second rounds and only one offer, which I accepted. If it's not working out, just keep trying, but definitely don't get discouraged after 2 interviews. On the other hand, I know a guy who had the first interview of his life with JPMorgan and got an offer and accepted it. So it really depends.

20%- If there were 12 people interviewing, generally, they brought back 3-4 people. Number of offers depended on the office, but generally, most banks ended up with 1-2 offers.

From my experience, if they had two rooms or more of interviews, each room would pick 2-3 people to invite to SuperDay.

Keep in mind though that the same people will literally get the majority of the 2nd rounds/SuperDays, so that really limits your chances.

4/7 is pretty damn good. 0/2 is nothing to worry about- 0/10, in this market, is a slight cause for concern- keep your head up though- that is most important.
