Would you also like to work for the Goldman Sachs? Finance is the most obvious and directly related choice. However, you should study whatever interests you and you can develop the necessary financial knowledge externally either through taking classes/work experience.

I am pretty sure that finance majors make up less than 50% of any analyst intern class. SO, the best single major is probably finance; however, "the field" is the majority. In reality, it just makes sense to study something you're interested in, take a few classes in finance and accounting, get involved in finance-related ECs and network at any opportunity.
I'd say you're fucked if you're a non-target and not a business or econ major.
Non-target, definitely need to do business or econ to have the best chance. Long odds if that's the case anyway.
