What happens if issuance markets “close”?
Hi monkeys - wondering if anyone here was around in 2008. Have a odd question: what happens if issuance markets completely close?
For example, after 2008, the IPO market was dead for 2-3 years. What happened to the armies of ECM ppl at banks? Were they just printing paychecks? Sounds expensive, but a BB can’t just shut down ECM and expect it to come back to life?
