I have been pursuing lab work for other classes but realized that I should probably not waste time and pursue an internship this summer in banking or consulting. What programs are still available? i think it's a little late for most structured programs. Maybe some of the F500s have some programs open this late, but I'm not sure. Both banking and consulting are likely off the table unless you can find a boutique firm with an unstructured process. I'd put together a list of firms in the city you want to be in, and start cold emailing ASAP.
You absolutely need to start cold emailing/networking right away. The hiring process for boutiques can be very unpredictable and on a needs basis so you need to start reaching out.
Think about how many kids that were unable to secure an internship or were "very late" in the search. Start ASAP.

I don't think there is any spots left for IB proper at any BBs but you could do something like corporate banking, which is somewhat close and still available at some of the BBs. Barring that, AM, or something similar, your best bet will be cold-emailing boutiques.

Hit the phones and do not quit. However, just be polite and courteous on the phone while leaving a good impression. In case you do get an interview and it happens to be an admin or file clerk-type role, I'd take it. Most small firms I have heard from like to promote from within to the analyst/associate roles.
