What is the motivator for working in high finance outside of the US?
I keep seeing comp threads from Europeans in IB/PE at top shops and they're throwing out base salaries that are barely higher than my sophomore summer comp at a BB in the US despite working only mildly better hours (70ish vs 90ish on average). What's the point of putting up with the grind when you're making less TC as an associate than an entry-level Big 4 auditor in a tier 3 city?
Ignoring the flagrant hyperbole in this very dumb post...
Because other jobs pay worse. Hope this helps.
