What MBA programs am I realistically looking at?
I am about to apply for MBA programs and I am wondering what kind of programs I am realistically looking at getting into: HSW? M7? Top 20?
The following is my profile:
Age: 27
Undergrad : Berkeley Engineering 3.7.
GMAT: 760 (Perfect Q)
Designations: CFA, FRM, CAIA
Work experience: 5 years of work experience, all at a top long-only AM in the 500-1T AUM range. Worked in asset allocation strategy for 2 years, now quantitative FI research for 3 years. Just promoted to VP, one of the youngest VPs within the investment staff outside of the trading desks.
Extracurricular: NONE, I am a workaholic.
Motivation for MBA: want to switch to fundamental bottom up research, MBA is pretty much a prereq for that side.
There are not that many people I can ask around here. It is a taboo to talk about MBA on the quant side. Highly frown upon.
Your stats are impressive, definitely M7.
Why, may I ask, is it frowned upon to talk MBA in quant?

Impressive stats. I'll aim for the top with those stats.
HBS, LBS, Wharton, Booth. Columbia, INSEAD
YOu sound like a fit for Booth and Wharton, not Harvard though.
Extremely good chance that you'll get into at least one of H/S/W/Columbia/Chicago/Stern
