What should I do? Currently at a boutique...

Hi All,

I have been working at a "meh" boutique in Texas for the past two years. I have only worked on one closed deal, and the dealflow sucks. It has gotten to the point where I have started generating more pipeline than one of the MDs. I generally go to local industry events and do many cold calls and when I make a good connection, I introduce the MD, and get a cut of any work that comes out of it.

I have the opportunity to join as a 1st year analyst at a BB (3 yr program) in NYC. It is an unusual "lateral" and I am 25. I start late March, and it will probably be very admin oriented, but then, once the 1st year class starts, I will go through the normal training. I feel very fortunate to have been able to get this offer, I was shocked when one of the MDs I have been keeping in touch with reached out to me.

Should I accept this? Or work 1-2 more years, then MBA in TX. I have no preference on location, but I am sure I can get into the top MBA programs in TX. Then, I could recruit as an associate.

tl;dr- I am 25, should I join 3 analyst year program, or work 1-2 more years then MBA to Associate?
