What to do when the cycle is fckd up?
As the title suggests, we're not in a good cycle, the M&A and Deals activity is currently in very low levels (I'm mainly speaking about Europe and US), banks hired a ton of interns and analysts post-covid given the industry was booming, but now it's not plus there are concerns about even a mild recession (I'm not here to entertain if this will happen or not). So here's the question:
What can someone who is finishing undergrad and looking for intern offers do? Although having good resume, firms don't even email back, I almost got in on a final round of a MM European firm but in the end they rejected, there only had 2 spots. What's the best strategy here guys? Find a mid-internship and grind the GMAT to start applying to Top MsF programs (In Eur and US)? What's the best move in this scenarios?
