When to network for group placement?

Hi guys,

I'll be at CS next summer, and am wondering when is the best time to really start networking for group placement? Im trying for top groups like FSG - is waiting until the fall a bad idea? Do these groups know who theyre taking before then?

Thanks

The process is different at every bank and I can't speak to CS - but I would err on the side of waiting til much closer to placement day.

In my experience - placement day was in March and I started seriously networking with the main group I was interested in late Jan - giving myself time to build up a good momentum but not be overwhelming.

Its about being top of mind at the right time, imo. Best of luck!
