Where does GPA hit diminishing returns?
I took a schedule that was way too hard for me this semester and didn't realize until after add-drop was over. I can't pass fail the worst class because it's a major requirement.
My GPA will probably end up dropping down to a low 3.9 (from 4.0). I know that's not bad, but I'm still stuck in high school mentality where a non-4.0 would tank my chances of getting in anywhere.
My question is: does it matter at all? Will this cause me to fail any GPA cutoffs? I'm hoping to get my sophomore summer recruiting done before this semester's grades come out, but SA 2026 is a different story.
3.7-8 is usually the EB GPA target, dont think any IB firms are distinguishing 3.9 vs4.0
