which banks are BB and which are MM?
Which banks are usually considered BB and which are considered MM? All the lists I have found seem to "rank" the banks differently, but I would think some banks are always considered BB and some MM, but which ones?
do a quick forum search. theres a lot of discussion about banking tiers and whos in BB and whos not.
in general the BB is considered to be Goldman, Morgan, Merrill, Lehman, UBS, Credit Suisse, Citigroup, JP Morgan, but the everyone has their own opinion about this.
above poster is correct....i'd throw in Deutsche and B of A as well. With B of A, I might be a bit lenient Wachovia and Bear Stearns are just a notch below the BB.
Most everyone else (excluding top boutiques and Lazard) would be MM.
How much more difficult is it to get into a BB Bank compared to a MM? From a scale of 1-10.
