Which division in IBD still has the most promising future (not talking about exits)?

Will be recruiting soon, and will be learning the technicals of different divisions in IBD. But unsure about the short term future of each--I'm thinking M&A+coverage group/DCM/ECM/RX/secondaries (think EVR PCA).

Wanna know more perspective regarding 1. possibility of getting return offers in 2027, 2. possibility of being replaced by AI (still might be a long term concern, and may people say AI can actually help bankers instead of kick their jobs), and 3. the market trend (still, not being cooked by economic downturn and lose my job).

Not thinking about exits. Obviously M&A has the best reputation and paves the way for PE jobs but I'm an international student so there're less options due to visa restrictions.

I see M&A activities and deals are not that active as before due to tariffs and butch of things related to current enviornment. Don't know if RX and secondaries can thrive more in this case. I think Evercore did their PCA great in the past years.

TLDR: which division in IBD can secure my offer and will not make me cooked in the near future

Which group is most ideal for me?
