to be honest, it really looks like the bulls are coming out of the east... celtics is now without perkins, orlando seems to always falter in the playoffs, and the heat, well can't seem to figure it out.
Celtics still team to beat in the East. Perkins has barely even played this season and the Cs continue to dominate.
Once Green gets settled we could stick anyone at Center and still win a title. Pierce looks like he is 5 years younger all of a sudden (not sure why, but maybe he is smoking / drinking less?)
Allen is a machine
Rondo still creates open looks with ease
Garnett can still anchor the defense
My only concern is we need to get our bigs healthy before year end. Shaq, Big Baby, etc...we'll need them to take some minutes away from the starting 5 and give more punch off the bench. The 2nd unit can now score with Green which is really nice to see.

San Anton - Celtics in the Finals...C's in 6.
Patrick i didn't read thru all the comments so I'm not sure if someone mentioned it already but Perkins isn't on the C's anymore.
The answer to your question is 1) network 2) get involved 3) beef up your resume 4) repeat -happypantsmcgee

He is pointing out that the C's have dominated even without Perkins, so losing him in a trade will have few ill effects. As a Bulls fan, they look a lot less intimidating sans Perkins.
I always liked the Heat a lot, especially since they used to battle the Knicks (also made me like Indiana) and then after Wade got there. After the Lebron decision and everybody started hating them...it made me REALLY LIKE THEM (I'm the kind of guy who always rooted for the bad guys in wrestling.) With my team the Rockets not in contention, I'm hoping Miami figures it out.
It's just...what can I say...that Mike Miller signing was so bad...SO SO BAD.
How anyone can pick against battle-tested teams like the C's, Lakers and Spurs (I guess...) is beyond me. C's and Lakers/Spurs in the Finals, which will be an absolute battle. Bulls get there next year, not ready for the big time quite yet. Heat will never win anything with Chris Bosh as their "interior presence" -- he doesn't play defense and is an absolute bitch.
I think the Celtics will probably win it this year although I am rooting for the Lakers. The Heat suck balls and will probably make it to the 2nd round in the playoffs but no further. I predict that come off season, Spoelstra will be fired (he already knows it), Pat Riley will come back (who def. has experience dealing with several stars on a team), they'll be some changes to the roster, and they will become the team that they expected leading to a championship.
Lakers vs. Cs would be absolutely epic. Score is 1-1 in the Finals, rubber match coming up.
Kobe potentially getting 6 titles and tying Jordan? Three without Shaq? One last title for the Big 3 (4)? Great stories all around.
Spurs are a legit team...but they're so boring to watch. Of course playing entertaining basketball doesn't always result in titles (any Mike D'Antoni team), but still.
Season isn't over...didn't the 6 seed Packers win the Super Bowl a month ago? Imagine if you had said this about the Pack in week 15 of the regular season, when they still had to win their last two games to just make it into the playoffs. You'd have looked like a real idiot in retrospect (and the Packers were a heavy favorite before the season just like the Heat were).
Be smart and comment after the move has happened, just like the stupid Equity Research Analysts do ;)
I'm not discounting the Heat or anybody since it's the NBA (but losing 5 in a row!!). That said, I think the Lakers are the scariest team out there (besides the Bulls of course) with 14 feet between Pau and Bynum. It's been a fun reg season (TV ratings booming) and gonna be the most exciting playoffs since the 90's.

confused - just went to espn.com and i noticed that in a picture of lebron dribbling and kobe guarding him, their jerseys are in spanish. In other words, Kobe's jersey says "Los Lakers" and Lebron's says "El Heat".
Is this just an NBA thing to try and reach out to the hispanic fan base or is ESPN working some photoshop magic because I am coming from an IP in Argentina?

They've been reaching out for a while now. NBA was pushing this "Spanish Appreciation" campaign hard last year when the Arizona illegal alien bill was the big debate. I'm pretty sure they started this campaign before that, but when that happeneed they went hardcore with Spanish. It's pretty ridiculous if you ask me.
I like how no one talks about the Mavs, if you honestly look at it the Mavs prob have the most tallented all around team. They could easily win it all, if the Heat don't make it to the finals, we all know that david stern will pull another bull shit stunt and fix the games to protect his "golden kids".

The Mavs are like this every year!!!! and they never go anywhere. They are constantly in the Top 4.

lakers ftw... 8 in a row baby
A team from Texas will win it all this year mark my words. And LOL @ the heat.

i'm sorry patrick but i have to add that rondo is a little bitch. that is all. like a bosh
forget the C's, the Heat, Spurs, whoever... its 3-peat time!

Lakers > God Himself > Bulls > All other teams

LeBron and Wade are two of the greatest players, but no team is going to win crap when your bench is averaging less than 10 a game.
The Cs are 5-0 since Green and Krstic came on. Getting Shaq and possibly even Jermaine back for the playoffs will be huge though.

Heard Heat players were crying in the locker room the other day

Mavs are hurrible, just hurrible
Actually Mr. Hurrible himself is extremely bullish on the Maverics.
mavs are great at making a run during the regular season and then consistently losing in the playoffs
That ends this year.
