Why don't you use a DCF when debt and working capital serve fundamentally different purposes?
On the M&I guides, they say that you don't use a DCF when debt and working capital serve fundamentally different purposes. The examples given are banks or insurance firms. Is the idea that since banks use debt as an asset instead of a liability their levered betas might not mean much and so no discount rate/DCF is rendered useless?
