I went to CC myself and then went to a non-target state school and am extremely proud of it. If anything, I find most people respect it even more because they know how difficult it is to land these jobs from the circumstances. You have to own your situation and be confident, then and only then the respect will come. You will get no respect for making excuses for yourself on why you went to CC - you just look like a little, insecure wuss.

TBH that's way more impressive. Most HYP grads (myself included) definitely have an ego about the school they went to, but feel that someone with enough grit to make it from 0 to 100 is more impressive in their own unique way
