Will partnership model investment banks overtake the public BB banks in terms of talent?
Seen a lot of talk about BB comp lagging behind at senior levels due to less reliance on rainmaking partners and the priority of paying out to shareholders. Law firms are pulling ahead of IB comp at a lot of levels and some top BB bankers seem to be leaving for boutique banks with partnership structures.
Will the partnership model make more of a comeback and retain the best bankers?
