William Blair Tech SFO reputation?
Can anyone please provide some clarity regarding William Blair’s tech reputation in SFO. How do they compare to other MM firms?

Blair Tech is unequivocally better than any other MM Tech Team, especially in vertical software. SF covers enterprise IT and I&DM as well — not as familiar with those groups based on my interactions with WB.
Can you please a little more about the culture and the pay?
Pay at blair 85 for 6 months, 35k stub, 90 base for 12 months ~85 bonus, 95 base last 6 months, 35 bonus at the end of 2 years
Sweatshop. Literally WB dominates MM/UMM PE software market.
San Fran works, but they own the middle market software space. It isn’t close. They used to own the IT services space too but lost the team to Guggenheim.

Super strong. Tons of software work involving both M&A and financings with excellent relationships with most tech-focused PE firms on the private sell-side side of things. Definitely sweaty as hell but if exit opps are important to you as analyst, definitely will get looks for MM/LMM tech PE firms.
How would you compare them to Jefferies in terms of exit/prestige?

had an analyst place at HGGC last year, so exits are definitely there
