Worked hard... pretty lost now...

Anyone else getting nervous hearing about all these first round interview offers and super-days already sent out and done with? I submitted super early for TD, RBC, BMO, and CIBC Toronto, Calgary, Montreal, Vancouver (when applicable)... Haven't received a single first round offer. Semi-target, decent work experience in equity research from this summer. I've set up calls with over 30 analysts (mostly BMO) and 5 associates, two mock interviews with analysts, and asked 10+ people to send my resume into HR as a follow-up, and yet nothing. I feel like I've done enough to deserve a first-round? I might be overestimating the quality of my candidacy idk... I've been trying to prep for interviews with technicals and behaviorals and general mocks but what good is all that if the 15+ opportunities I'm trying to line up don't even set up a first-round. After all this, I have no idea what else I need to do...

I'm not usually one to post on here but just looking for some advice from experienced individuals that have been in the same sport, or others that share my stress. Every time I get a notification I think it's a bank sending me an invite for a first-round but it's usually just quora or something stupid like that.

First off, you may be overestimating how good of an applicant you are (no offense). Other than interview prep: check your resume formatting, cover letters, if you are asking good questions during calls, etc.

I've been in a similar situation before, where I talked with numerous people at a bank and still struck out. I thought I had made a great impression on everyone I spoke to. In reality, you could do everything correctly, and they may still like someone else. In that light, it might just be an indication that the competition is stronger than you think.

Buckle down and keep at it. You got this!

Like what was said below, apps are generally looked at on a rolling basis, so you need to be sharp at all times. So keep doing everything you can to land an offer at one of those banks, make sure to apply to other options. You'd rather have a job than not.

I can't really offer any strict advice as to how you can get interviews but keep networking and polishing your applications. Remember, at the end of the day, it's somewhat of a numbers game.

Hey don't give up hope, honestly it's not over yet. Some people might have gotten first rounds/superdays but they look through applications on a rolling, just stay ready because once you get that first round interview you've got to kill it!
