Worth going to NABA conference?
NABA is National Association of Black Accountants. You pay $85 to network at an event thursday-sunday. Everything paid for (hotel, travel, food). Some BB employees are going to be there, but I'm not sure if Investment Bankers are going to be there since it's called "National Association of Black Accountants." But you never know, these people may connect me. I'm more worried about the $85. I'm a liberal arts major with only one internship(non finance) under my belt. So looking to break in into finance by any means.
As someone who's not African American but worked with many who've been to NABA, it's a great networking opportunity. Friends going from Big 4 to law school all got great 1st year diversity internships at top law firms through this extended network.
