Super odd if this is true...would have to imagine layoffs are imminent if that's the case.
Exactly our thoughts, one thing for certain is we are not getting bonus in July as planned. We are not communicated anything as of yet. So like you said layoff are imminent….
Same thing happened to Nomura London last year but not immediately followed by layoffs
These happened a few months later in Jan.
Any reason why they delayed it ? Simply trying to understand the rationale
If they are not gaining anything from it, it really messes up the sentiment among juniors especially when it’s not communicated…
Are they delayed vs a previously announced official timeline? Or simply later than last year?

They were probably trying to stop more juniors from exiting. There was mass exodus in the 6 months leading up to bonuses.

Rumours from the top and never communicated the number which we should have by last week…across analysts in IB no one heard anything from their managers about numbers…pay day is next week so clearly not getting it
