Accenture or Capital One or JPM Tech
I have offers right now for Accenture Systems Integration Consulting, Capital One Business Analyst program, and JP Morgan Technology Analyst Program. Was wondering how you guys would rank these offers, pros vs. cons, etc.
Bump
Sorry for the bump again, but I really need some advice on this issue as I have to make a decision pretty soon.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
What's your background? What're your goals? What are you interested in? You're not providing enough context for someone to help you.
The problem is I am not certain exactly what my long term career goals are, so this is why I am having a hard time making a decision. Doing consulting and traveling (Accenture), and/or living in NYC (Accenture & JPM) seems fun in the short run, but long term I think I would prefer to settle down and work in more of the locations that Capital One offers.
I am also unsure whether or not I want to pursue an MBA down to line, but from other threads on this forum I am getting the feeling that if I wanted to pursue one, Capital One > Accenture > JPM Tech?
I guess I am looking for a more general answer of what the typical exit opportunities/long term job prospects are for taking any of these three jobs. And what the considerations are to look at, including but not limited to location, MBA, etc.
Will working at JPM Tech or Accenture pigeon-hole me too much to the point where it would be difficult for me to find a more strategy related/less tech-focused BA job such as the one at Capital One? I am not necessarily trying to work at MBB, but it is not out of the option either.
Thanks!
IMO 1) Capital One 2) Accenture 3) JPM
PM me for questions...
In general my long terms goals involve being in a management position of some sort. I am not opposed to doing management in technology, and that is where I run into the dilemma of if I want to try to move up internally, or go the MBA route. Strategy related works sounds more interesting as well, but I am not exactly sure what types of companies offer internally this and what the roles would be.
COF if those are your goals. You can move around the company fairly easily to more mangement roles and more strategic roles.
Would the consulting aspect of Accenture not help in terms of management experience as well? I would imagine that getting lots of client exposure in different industries would be great, even if it is more focused on Systems Integration work.
Accenture (assuming private sector not government division)... consulting gives you more interesting projects to talk about, builds out your network, and gives you more exposure to decision makers at a variety of clients.
Plus, you get to rack up airline miles, hotel points, etc. while you are young. Shit will come in handy during grad school (free trips, upgrades, etc.).
