Advice for an Undergrad - Junior at top 20 liberal arts

Hey all,

I am currently a junior at a top 20 liberal arts college. I have a 3.4 GPA and am majoring in econ. This summer I will be interning with a Fortune 100 company as part of their financial leadership development program. In the fall I will be doing an academic program in NYC and will get another shot at getting an internship. However, it currently looks like the only possibility at the moment is a PWM internship at a BB. I understand that PWM is not ideal for working in IBD other than communicating an interest in finance. Furthermore, I will be a senior when I do it, as opposed to people who typically do it in their sophomore summer. Should I keep plugging away and reaching out to alums and perhaps start cold calling people? What steps should I take? Or, If I take this gig, how can I spin it for during FT recruiting?

Thanks.
