Foot in the Door - Midwest studying economics and finance

Yo. Im from the midwest studying Economics and Finance. I want to do something in the financial services industry, and seems like an analyst position is most interesting. I dont expect to end up in New York City, but I want to still be in the industry. I have an internship working at a discount broker but I don't want to make a career out of it.

What is the best way to get into a boutique for some experience before I graduate?

You've probably heard "network" about a million times. You're just here looking for some Rosetta Stone bullshit that will automatically make you chummy chummy with a superstar MD at a BB. Hit me up if you find it.

Some people on here are way too high strung.

I was fucking around with that post, but honestly, how many of these threads have there been? Hell, I haven't been here all that long and already I'm getting sick of them. There's no secret to getting your CV in front of MD's. Networking is all there is to it.
