Ghosted but not ghosted?
So I went through a series of interviews, and have met most people on the team.
During the final interview, I was told that team members are away so they would need more time.
Fast forward, it has been 3 weeks since the last interview. I followed up with the HR twice and got same-day reply stating that they are still finalising.
It almost feel like I have been ghosted, but whenever I follow up - I still get a response.
What's happening here lol....
You are probably not their first choice and they are waiting for answers to the offers they have given out

HR has figured out that its the same with "ghosting" in dating...if you give someone (usually the second choice) a firm "no" for a job, its hard to come back to that person and offer if the person you offered job declines or accepts and quits after 2 weeks.
So they basically leave you hanging in case they need to come back your way.
was in a similar situation then after that month they told me they're reassessing their hiring needs. HAH!
I feel like this might be my case as well. Since their competitors have all done layoffs
Were you able to get another interview when "hiring need resumes" idk maybe some months later?
