I need a second opinion

I have networked my way to an interview with a F100 company in their Finance Dept. Pretty much sounds like I can do the job - the question is, where does it get me?

My background:
Non to semi target. Non finance background, worked at a bank as a Teller, then networked my way into a Financial Advisor job at a BB. Want to eventually move into AM or CF/Strat. I am currently teaching myself LBO/DCF through my firm's training systems.

The job:
Manage the long and short term debt of this company, interest rate derivatives, etc. The rest of the description involves doing audits, maintaining records, making sure payments are correct, and doing daily settling of trades.

To me, this sounds just like a glorified BO position. Any thoughts on where I could go from there? Anyone have experience like this?

TLDR: Job managing debt and interest rate derivatives of a F100. Does this help me get to CF/AM which is my ultimate goal? I don't have much of a finance background.

There's a point where the name outweighs the job description, and your job description still sounds well and swell as DoctorAndre mentioned. When you can say you went from being a bank teller from a non target to even the "glorified BO position" in an F100 company, you got a spit-shined resume. It'd be nice to use on your way to an MBA. As for the route to a CF/AM job I'm not the person to ask, but this job will definitely help you out overall.
