Is Masters application cycle different to undergrad?
TL;DR- I know a guy finishing his masters soon who has not applied to any jobs and wants a high finance job in starting September. Is he fucked?
I'm sharing a house in London with my friend and his brother. The brother is finishing masters in economics at a top London school (LSE/LBS) in August but hasn't applied to anything. He says he'll apply once he has handed in his dissertation.
I would have thought that the graduate recruitment cycle is the same as undergrad (applications start in August 2022 for jobs to start in August 2023), but if he hasn't applied for anything then maybe that's not the case? On the other hand, he seems a bit naïve (has described some asset management firms as hedge funds).
Haven't seen him round a lot so can't really ask him.
Just wanna know if he's a muppet or not really.
