Looking for FT, what firms offer best odds?

Hey all,

I am a senior graduating in May with a degree in economics, 3.8+ GPA, and still looking for a FT position. I was offered a position at MS in their operations division, but have heard so many poor things about ops and the exit ops afterwards so I turned it down-- plus I would be getting shipped down to their Baltimore office, which I was not looking to do.

This leaves me without a job for graduation, and I am feeling a little lost in my search. I know most positions have been filled through recruitment, and I am not at a target which makes my situation a little more difficult, but I am good at networking and reaching out on linkedin, which has helped.

My question is, what firms do you think have the best odds of still filling positions? Doesn't have to be IBD, I just want a firm in NYC that I can use as a launchpad for my career as I start out, but I am having trouble finding MM or boutiques that would still be filling positions. What types of roles have the best exit opportunities besides IBD? I have solid internship experience and should be able to network my way to at least a few interviews, but I do not know where to start. Any advice would be appreciated!

Also, does anyone have any information on accelerated recruiting programs? Are they still being offered anywhere?
