Padding my resume for a internship.

I am a student and would like to secure a internship for the summer of 2019. Other then getting good grades, what can I do to pad my resume? Are there specific volunteer opportunities that look better to banking firms? Are there entry level jobs that I could get now that would give me a good foundation of knowledge? Thank you for your insights in advance.
