Part-Minority...

Okay, so I am part-Mexican (beaner, mow lawns, etc) and I am basically wondering how or if I should conduct my job shift in a different manner than a "regular person". I am not noticeably Mexican, but there is a good amount of family history behind it. My work experience consists of one "internship" though it could barely be called that based off of the secretarial work I did. Should I mention this on my resume/in interviews? How many companies have special programs that accommodate for my kind? Should I always apply to those over the regular summer programs?

For the record I have a high gpa at a low-tier Ivy in the econ program.

Thanks.

Haha ... Is your response to the questions 'tell me about yourself' always going to be 'I'm a beaner?'

But to answer your question,

1) Don't mention this on your resume/in interviews. Only bigger firms really care about cultural diversity, and you'll answer this question in your online application. 2) Do a search for the companies that you are interested in. Some have them, some don't. 3) Apply to SEO. 4) You can apply to SEO and regular summer internships.

well, I consider the lower tiers to be harvard, cornell, and yale, so one of them :p

and how does seo work? do many large companies use it?
