Sophomore Summer 2022 Internship

hey everyone, first time poster here

on a 4 year program at a target school on the West Coast, currently a rising sophomore. interning at a Venture Capital firm (500m AUM) for the summer and want to start preparing for Sophomore Summer 2022 recruiting

to my understanding, I should aim for a finance/investment related role at a decent shop (im leaning towards a sell-side one) and the timeline is very varied as it depends on the firm as it's not as fixed as the Junior SA timeline. is my understanding correct?

any advice on where to recruit and the timeline for recruiting for Sophomore Summer 2020 would be immensely appreciated, thank you!
