Taking an year off school to learn a new language and do a couple of internships?

Hello everyone, I am 23-year-old and I just graduated from a semi-target UK Business School with 2:1 (¬3.5 GPA), I have two finance internships and I don't speak a second language. I am about to enrol at Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) this august. I was also accepted and deferred my offer from University of St. Gallen (HSG) in Switzerland. I deferred because I wanted to learn German before enrolling at HSG. In my year off from school I'll learn some German and do a couple of internships in my home country. So what do you think? Shall I postpone the postgraduate degree to learn a new language, or it is not really worth it as both schools are top targets.

(p.s. Thanks SirBarney I edited my post to make it more concise.)

Do nothing but speak German for a year? That's a pretty awkward explanation of the 1 year gap on your resume. Pretty sure most people that learn languages don't take time off real life to do so. Get some rammstein albums and your shit will be fire.

I was taught that the human brain was the crowning glory of evolution so far, but I think it's a very poor scheme for survival.
