Wall Street Mentors? Legit?

Anyone used Wall Street Mentors, the service provided by Wall St Oasis? You pay something like $69 to talk to someone for 30 min. They seem to be quite qualified. 10+ years of experience in specific fields. Is it worthwhile?

I am looking to transition out of my current field and looking for someone to help me think about what industries, jobs I should be targeting, how to polich my resume, and how to present myself to recruiters/headhunters/etc.

I graduated UPenn with a BA in 06. Been working in commercial real estate finance/development/acquisitions for mid-size NYC firms. Feel I hit a dead end. Looking for a transition into something where I can learn more and make a career out of it.

Would be happy to connect you with some clients that have used the service - just shoot me a note. I've maintained 100% customer satisfaction since I started it in March '09. I'm a young professional myself (graduated Dartmouth in '08), and my goal is to create an dynamic, personalized career development service for young professionals.

Let me know if you want any mentor recommendations. My mentoring network expands beyond just finance (Wall Street Mentors is a partnership channel focused on finance). I've included a mentor that may be a good fit for you that isn't included in the Wall Street Mentors section.

Sam gained extensive real estate principal investment experience at Federal Capital Partners (FCP), a leading Washington, DC-based real estate private equity firm founded by former Carlyle Group principals. Previously, Sam was an Investment Analyst and Staff Member with The World Bank’s Pension Investments Department, where he recruited his eventual replacement upon his departure for business school. He began his career at JPMorgan Chase as an Investment Banking Analyst and returned to the firm during business school as a Summer Associate in the Real Estate Investment unit within the firm’s Asset Management division.

Since leaving FCP, Sam co-founded Kalorama Realty Capital, a real estate investment bank focused on capital raising and advisory services for commercial real estate owner-operators. Maintaining active involvement with various real estate industry and alumni organizations - the Urban Land Institute, the DC Real Estate Group, the Yale Alumni Real Estate Association and the Columbia Business School Real Estate Circle – has given him a forum to mentor fellow real estate professionals. While at FCP, he also participated in Associate recruiting efforts and interviewing at the firm.
